The concept of Audi e-Tron was based on the e-Tron Quattro therefore, it is also called Audi e Tron Quattro. The idea was presented in 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor show. Later on, the final unit of Audi e-Tron was revealed in San Francisco in September 2018 for the first time.
Audi e-Tron is the first fully electric, luxury 5 doors crossover SUV produced by Audi. The company aimed to start its mass production and deliveries in May 2019. However, Audi E-Tron’s Sportback variant was scheduled for production in early 2020.

Audi has launched three variants of Audi e Tron while the prices differentiate as per the features integrated into each variant. The basic or premium plus starts from $75,795 estimated and soars as high as $81,000 for the Sportback variant. Whereas the asking price for the “Prestige variant” is approximately $80,095.
Under the e Tron heavily curved and sleekly edged bodywork there is a 95.3-kWh lithium-ion battery that runs two electric motors, one located at the front axle and the other at the rear. Though Combine they produce enough electric power to rotate all-wheel drive, in this whole process the rear motor plays the significant role rather than one in the front axle.
In a regular driving mode, they simultaneously produce 355 horsepower and 414 lb-ft of torque. However, putting in sports mode it generates 402 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque respectively.
When it comes to the performance of the Audi e Tron, it gains the speed swiftly and feels very stable while driving. The acceleration of the vehicle is conventional electric vehicles, and its quiet and smooth ride gives the assurance of the prices it worth. Audi e Tron has an effective braking system when the brake is pushed the vehicles go standstill. Further to this, it has the capability of towing 4000 pounds when properly handled.
The Environmental Protect Agency (EPA) has estimated the Audi e Tron driving range at 204 miles, which is higher than Tesla Model 3. On the other hand, Audi e Tron is expected to give 74 MPGe in the city drive and 73 MPGe on the highway.
The e Tron has a spacious interior, the five-seat SUV has a well-crafted cabin. The vehicle is loaded with high-resolution touch screens which include the Audi electronic instrument cluster called virtual cockpit and two of them have meticulously been installed in the center. There are varieties of luxurious options available in the vehicle such as head-up displays and massaging front seats. The battery has been placed under the floor due to which it gives a flat floor that makes the interior more sophisticated. Moreover, it also provides considerable cargo space. However, the boot capacity can be increased by folding back row seats.
